VOX, the young adult ensemble of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, celebrates 25 years of vibrant music-making with music ranging from Eric Whitacre, Arvo Pärt and Jacob Collier, to Australian Dan Walker.
In 2026, VOX turns 25, and this virtuoso Gen-Z choir is celebrating its origins and looking to the future in a gorgeous program devised by longstanding VOX director Elizabeth Scott.
For its first concert, VOX commissioned a young Australian, Dan Walker. The result was Archangelo. For this 25th anniversary celebration at the White Bay Power Station, Dan has been invited to write a new piece for VOX and VOX alumni. In between, there’s music representing the essence of VOX: a fresh choral sound, virtuoso a cappella harmonising, and themes of spirituality, environment and community. VOX favourites such as Eric Whitacre and Arvo Pärt will be joined by old friends, emerging voices, and a new favourite: World O World by British trailblazer Jacob Collier.
Presented by Sydney Philharmonia Choirs.
